Better late then never – Part 3

July saw us back in Hipperholme for a hectic week of appointments and catching up with friends & family before we headed down south for a 10 day holiday in Devon to see my Mom & Dad.

The weather was unbelievably good whilst we were there & the campsite was absolutely fabulous! We had a couple of great days out but mainly we just chilled out at the site – this is getting to be a habit.

Returning to Hipperholme & even more appointments, we checked the van in for a service whilst we house-sat in luxury.

Can you read what it says yet?

We’ve both had really good news on the health front & now even the van is better – the turbo was broken but is now all mended so we can go uphill without spluttering & belching out black smoke- yay!

Even more meals out catching up with friends & family mean we’ve both put on about a stone in weight – we really should get our bikes out more often.

Mid-August will see us setting off into the sunset again but only for a couple of months as we’ll be back in November to meet our newest family arrivals and to get my teeth fixed!  The plan is to sail to Dunkirk then explore the Eastern border of France a bit before heading across to John’s favourite site at Lucon for his birthday in September.

That’s as far as we’ve got so far with the planning but – wi-fi permitting – I will try to update the blog more often – watch this space!
